COLLEGE FOOTBALL PICK’EM

It’s hard to believe it’s Week 7 in the college football season but it is. It’s been one of the crazier ones in recent memory with Appalachian State getting things going against Michigan in the opening week. Then last week, Stanford, a 41-point underdog, pulled off another stunner by beating Southern Cal. The upsets should continue as we head deep into conference play during the rest of October and November.
So for the rest of the season, I will take a look at some of the key college matchups throughout the state as well as some of the best games around the Top 25.

State games
No. 7 South Carolina at North Carolina
Game should be played every year. Tar Heels are getting better, but Gamecocks are on a roll ... USC 24-14.

Chowan at Coastal
Chanticleer backups better get ready for some playing time ... Coastal 65-0

Florida A&M at S.C. State
Banged-up Bulldogs rebound from last week’s tough loss ... S.C. State 27-10

Gardner-Webb at Wofford
Break from SoCon action won’t affect Terriers ... Wofford 31-10

Furman at The Citadel
Paladins get back on track and find way to stop potent Bulldog offense ... Furman 31-28

Presbyterian at VMI
Blue Hose get first taste of what life will be like in the Big South ...VMI 27-20

Clemson is off this week, and the Tigers need it. After two straight embarassing losses, Tommy Bowden must try to regroup the troops and possibly save his job in Death Valley.

Top 25
No. 1 LSU at No. 17 Kentucky
Tigers won't show letdown, and Wildcats will be hurting with top running back Little ... LSU 23-13

No. 11 Missouri at No. 6 Oklahoma
Should be offensive shootout with Sooners carrying the most bullets ... Oklahoma 38-24

No. 22 Auburn at Arkansas
Razorbacks 1-2 punch of McFadden and Jones are too much for Tigers ... Arkansas 24-20

No. 24 Georgia at Vanderbilt
Bulldogs still smarting from losing to Commodores at home last year. ... Georgia 30-10

No. 25 Tennessee at Mississippi State
After big win over Georgia, Vols primed to get upset, but it won't happen ... Tennessee 20-17

Well here is what I think about this weekend's picks. Let me know how you guys feel about the weekend’s action.
