Coldest weather since February visits Pee Dee and Grand Strand

Temperatures this morning tumbled into the 20s for the first time since February with lows in the low to mid 20s in the Pee Dee and upper 20s on the Grand Strand.

The "official" number from NWS won't come out until later today, but from what I can tell looking at preliminary data this morning, the low temperature in Myrtle Beach was 27 and 24 degrees in Florence. Well, I took a look back at the ol' record book just now, and this morning is the coldest morning we have experienced since February 28 when the low in Myrtle Beach was 26 and 24 in Florence. The high temperature that day in Florence was 47 which is precisely what we expect today's high to be.

Look for a brief warm up Thursday when highs should make it into the mid to upper 50s, but another powerful cold front will bring more arctic air in just in time for the weekend. It will be a dry weekend, but with temps starting off in the 20s again Saturday morning and highs struggling to hit 50, it will be very cold for whatever you may have going on this weekend.

Going by the Ol’ Record Book..it looks like Florence has maintained an even keel..while Myrtle Beach has proven to be unstable..

This is no doubt a result of the decision to rid the city of bike rallies..and now temperatures are expected to plummet even lower without the heat from all of those drag-pipes from the Harley’s..

They got your tax dollars…they didnt stop the rallies..Hard Rock Park took a nose dive..and now you are gonna freeze your assets off..

Man you guys cant win for losing..wink

*** This post is primarily to promote land sells in the Florence area..All proceeds will go to building a toll bridge for tourists travelling thru to the beach..***
