Charlton Heston played a role in my childhood
"Take your stinking paws off me you d*&m%, dirty ape!" or "It's a mad house! It's a mad house!" I also know the last line of the movie but Heston uses too much profanity for me to repeat here. I know it, it's weird I'm 23-years-old and I'm a fan of a movie that was made some twenty years before I was even a twinkle in my mother's eye. I remember being 7 or 8 years old and spending Saturday or Sunday evenings watching the Planet of the Apes series on TBS with my mother. She was the one that explain how the movies were all connected. I was actually watching Planet of the Apes Saturday on t.v. and I learned Sunday that Heston had died. How about the irony in that! Well, Heston had a good, long life and had a lot of flicks besides the "Ape" movies under his belt. It should also be noted that I think Charlton looked really sexy in the ape movies with is little caveman outfit on. And who didn't feel sorry for him at the end of the first one when he saw lady liberty and realized he had been on earth all along?

I love that movie too! He was great in it. Such a shame that he is no longer here.
