Biker bar owners respond to talk of ending the bike rallies
As you'd expect, long-time Horry County biker establishments don't want to see the spring motorcycle rallies end. In fact, Jimmy Motley, owner of the original SBB biker bar in murrells inlet, told me today he doesn't think they'll ever get rid of the rallies. They being "the city of Myrtle Beach."He says even if the city keeps all motorcycle-related vending out of the Myrtle Beach area, he believes Horry County will not make any changes.
Motley also told me he's decided to form a committee and raise a million dollars to fight the city of Myrtle Beach. Motley says if the city can increase taxes to raise a million dollars to get rid of the rallies, then he can raise the same amount and fight back. He told me he'll use the money for a nationwide media campaign to to tell others about the unruly behavior of other tourists. He cited incidents from Senior Week, and all summer long.

What the hell is up with MB? Why bite the hand that feeds you? Get rid of the Bike Weeks. Get rid of Senior week. Let’s run the Canadians off too. Ugly people. Ugly people don’t need to be on the beach. Get rid of them. Bunch of whiney babies. If you don’t like bike week, stay in the house.
