Be My Valentine

Well, guys..you've got about 3 days to finalize those big Valentine's Day plans. You know, the ones that keep your on-the-verge-of-becoming-Miss-Independent-girlfriend from not cooking dinner anymore.

I kid, of course (kind of). I do think that for many girls, Valentine's Day is a bit of a make-or-break ordeal. It never has been for me, though. In fact, I don't think it should be all about the guy gushing over the girl. A relationship is a two-way thing, right? So doesn't the girl have some sort of a responsibility on Cupid's Day?

Anyway, whoever is in charge of Saturday's plans...you've gotta have something to do! So if you don't have ideas yet, you're in the right place! There really is so much to do this weekend, and I know I say that a lot--but it really is true this weekend! In Florence there are a number of V-day dinners, dances, etc. And the same goes for the beach. I've got to say, my personal favorite V-day event this wekeend...2001 Nightclub's Tribute to ELVIS this weekend!!! I mean, seriously..it doesn't get any better than that. Commemorating the hunk o' burning love himself...on America's annual Love Day. How appropriate?!??! That very well may be where I am this weekend. We'll see.

So what's the deal with y'all? Big V-day plans? Boycotting Valentine's Day? (I have a handful of friends that dress in all black on this sacred day.)

I've read some of your comments on previous blogs and know that people are cutting back these days...so are you going cheap this V-day? Fill me in.

I'm done typing for now, though...my cat is craving some attention and walking all over the computer, so I guess it's time to pull out the yarn for her.

Check out the video for some V-Day ideas, but also look at "Things To Do"....there are a lot more ideas on the website!

I’d walk a million miles for one of your smiles, and even farther for that thing you do with your hands.  smile

Count me in. I’ll be there looking for you.

If I follow you home, will you keep me?

I noticed that hand thing too..had to watch it 3 or 4 times..David Copperfield cant even do that..

I also noticed she didnt mention “life-partners” in her list of people celebrating V-day..

..I would have thought gay people would have been first in line on this holiday..

I dont like referring to them as gay people..but I dont know all of their names..they spent most all of their life in a closet..

..so dont blame me..wink

LOL….cue the gay jokes until the thread gets zapped.

I’m left wondering if they even do that anymore..

Since Lyra stopped doing the Morning Buzz..nobody deletes us now…;)

It aint like I have anything against gays..if this had been my blog..they would have got a mention..for sure..

Most everyone I know has serious issues in their life anyway..

I know it seems like I am always bring Patty back up..but it isnt intentional..smile
