Calling all school teachers!

Good morning teachers!

Maybe you're reading this blog as you check your email first thing in the morning or maybe you're reading it as you make last minute changes to tomorrow's lesson plans before heading home for the day.

Whatever the case, if you're a 2nd, 4th or 6th grade teacher, your class will soon be studying the weather and will certainly have questions. Well, today's your lucky day! I regularly visit classes to teach kids about being a meteorologist and forecasting the weather. We also encourage schools to visit us right here at News 13 so they can get a little "hands on" weather training. I would certainly love to meet your class in person, but if that isn't possible for your class, I'd still love to answer any questions your kids may have as you move through your weather unit.

There are several ways you can do this including email and telephone, but I want to try something new.

So, here's what I'm trying. If you, or one of your students, has a question you'd like me to answer about the weather, post that question as a comment to this blog. I will then post the answer as a comment to this blog. This will allow other teachers, who may have similar questions, to not only see the answer to your question, but to post questions of your own. This can also serve as a platform for teachers to chat with other teachers also teaching weather.

Again, this is a brand new concept and I'm not sure it's ever been done, so help me spread the word to visit Chris Still's weather blog as soon as your weather kit arrives to your school.

I look forward to hearing from everyone!

When it rains in Latta,  Don Luehrs doesn’t get wet. The rain gets Luehred.

In December of 2004, Don Luehrs tried to go swimming. The ocean was so scared that it ran away and devastated Indonesia
