Black Friday: A Season for Giving

While you're out shopping for Christmas gifts, remember that it's not just about buying the hottest items for you friends and family. It's also a time to give to the less fortunate, the poor, the hungry and the needy.

In front of Best Buy at Magnolia Mall you will find Tasha Davis, a volunteer for the Marine Toys for Tots. Tasha was there trying to collect new, unwrapped toys for needy children. So, while you're out shopping you may want to head to Best Buy on purchase a gift for some deserving child.

The mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted, according to its Web site, http://www.totsfortots.org.
The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.
