A bad day to be a snowman

The future is looking grim for snowmen, snowwomen, and even snowbabies around the Pee Dee and North Carolina. Temperatures will be cold enough today (Wednesday) that very little of the snow will melt other than what is in the direct sunlight, but after another very cold night tonight with temperatures falling deep into the 20s, look for much warmer weather tomorrow and Friday with highs in the 50s and 60s respectively. That's bad news for snowmen, but perhaps good news for "snowbirds" who may have moved to the Carolinas to escape the harsh winters up north.

Eventhough snowmen all around the Pee Dee will surely die a slow and painful death over the next day or so (shhh...we probably shouldn't tell them of their impending doom), their memories will forever live in our minds, our hearts and for a couple, even on this blog.

We got literally hundreds, if not a thousand or more pictures emailed to us, so I can't post every picture in this single blog. So, here's a sampling of the many, many photos I got through email. Thanks for the great pictures--they were about as close I got to getting to go outside and play in the snow yesterday! Be sure to visit our Snap! section for even more snow pics!
