WebMD.com reports a French study shows that raising the volume of music can speed up the drinking at a bar. The researchers found that loud music went hand in hand with increased alcohol consumption in a shorter period of time.

The latest incarnation of Batman has topped box office records according to CBS News.  The film topped $155 million dollars from Friday through Sunday, making it the number one opening movie of all time (edging out Spiderman 3 by $4 million).

Morning Buzz: Traffic lights that help you save gas

This story comes to us from CBS affiliate KHOU in Houston.  New technology created by Houston Transtar may help drivers save gas by not waiting long at red lights when there’s no traffic.  It’s called the ACS Lite and it goes far beyond the manual timing of traffic lights.

Morning Buzz: Congress looks at shutting down some online pharmacies

You’ve probably received the emails offering you some sort of prescription drug over the internet, or even seen the ads online while surfing the web.  The Associated Press says a Columbia University study finds that drugs that are not supposed to be sold without a prescription are sold all too easily without one on the internet.  And, authorities say buying drugs from uncertified online pharmacies can be very dangerous.
