Gustov is a tropical storm, Hanna still holding on, Ike should be a hurricane in the next couple of days, and there is another impressive wave coming off the African coast.

My first Penn State game in 6 years
I went to school at Penn State and am a fan of Joe Paterno and his Nittany Lions. My first game was three stadium expansions ago, and I have been at Beaver Stadium as Penn State beat Michigan, Ohio State, Nebraska, Notre Dame and Alabama…. but last Saturday’s game versus the Chants was one of my favorite.

Tsunami Warning System Complete
Since the 2004 tsunami in Indonesia, the United States has been working to upgrade our tsunami warning system. It has recently been completed.

Shark!
I know there are sharks in the water along the Grand Strand. In fact, I have even caught a few. This weekend I ran into shark without my fishing pole.
