Eight years out of practice…
...and out of shape. I finally found a softball team to play on, but it's made me realized that I'm not a teenager anymore.

The past few weeks or so……
The past few weeks of my life have been pretty eventful.... From working on the new scnow.com to working at the Dodge Challenger 500, I've been pretty busy.

Flyleaf rocked the House of Blues
My husband and I went to the House of Blues last night for the Seether/Flyleaf/Red show. We went mainly for Seether, as I'm sure mostly everyone did. But, I have to tell you, Seether had a tough act to follow because Flyleaf really rocked the house.

Our trip to GameStop
This past Sunday my husband and I decided to trade in our PlayStation2 and all of the games to get some things for the Xbox 360. We ended up leaving the store with a boat load of stuff.

So, I’m kind of over Guitar Hero III…..
....because I've moved on to
Rock Band! Two Saturdays ago I bought the Rock Band game and drums. Since then, I've already beat it on easy and medium using the drums. But with this game, it doesn't end there. Once you've beat it on one instrument, you can move on to another.

Spring is here and to me, that means softball
I haven't played softball for about seven or eight years, but this year I have a great urge to get back in the game. I used to live and breath the game, now I hardly ever take out my gear.

I keep an eye out for the bargains
I've been thinking about writing about this all week. I'm one of those bargain shoppers. It's very rare that I actually pay full price for something. The only thing that I may pay full price for is something that relates to gaming, and still, that's pretty rare.

Back in the day… like three years ago
When I first got my little Scion tC, three years ago, I remember it only cost $25 to fill it up. The last time I went to the pump I put 10 bucks in my car, I only got a fourth of a tank of gas. This means the next time I'm on empty and go to fill up, it's going to cost me $40. That's an additional five dollars for each year I've had my car.

Finally! Five stars on all songs…. on easy!
It took me a really long time to do it, but I finally got five stars on every song on easy mode yesterday. Yeah, it's set to easy, but that doesn't always mean
all of the songs are actually easy.

Guitar Hero on Xbox Live
So last night I played Guitar Hero III online for the first time since I got the game. A former co-worker and I got together early in the evening to play a few rounds and later in the night, I got together with a current co-worker to play a few rounds. This was actually the first time I've ever played against anyone at this game and I found out I'm not that good.

They gave me a brand new Xbox 360
If you read my blog yesterday, you already know that I was expecting my Xbox 360 to come back from being repaired today. Well, I got
a Xbox back, but it wasn't my original, which is perfectly fine with me.

Tracking my Xbox 360 as it makes it’s way back to me
Well, last Thursday I call 800-4MY-XBOX to check the progress of my second repair. I was excited to learn that it had been fixed and shipped, again. The operator gave me the tracking number and I've been checking it at least five times a day to check it's progress.

Smashing your finger and the effect it has on your work
Earlier today, I walked back to one of the edit bays to ask Michelle Carolla a question. She had the door closed when I went to speak with her, so I decided to close it back when the conversation was done. Well, when I closed the door, I didn't get my pinkie out in time.

Wow, I am really mad
Well, today was supposed to be my happy day. The day that I got my Xbox 360 back. All day long I checked my tracking number to see if it had been delivered. Finally, about 12:30 p.m., it was delivered to my house. I couldn't wait to go home for lunch. My husband left it unopened so I could take it out and hook it up. I played Guitar Hero III for about 10 minutes, added some time to my Live account, then passed it over to my husband. He starts playing Halo 3 on Xbox Live. He gets only a few seconds into the match and then the console freezes. We turn it off for about a minute, turn it back on and it does nothing. The green power indicator was on, but the green rings weren't and the screen was black.
