Biker bar owners respond to talk of ending the bike ralliesLong-time Horry County biker establishments don't want to see the spring motorcycle rallies end. In fact, Jimmy Motley, owner of the original SBB biker bar in murrells inlet, told me today he doesn't think they'll ever get rid of the rallies. They being "the city of Myrtle Beach."

Flu season is in full swingFlu season is in full swing. The latest numbers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show there are wide outbreaks in 11 states. And if that wasn't bad enough, there's a new strain of flu coming out that wasn't targeted by this year's vaccine.

Lawmakers to consider eliminating PACTA bill will be introduced this week in the House to replace the end-of-the-year state test taken yearly by third- through eight-graders. Landrum Representative Bob Walker says the Palmetto Achievement Challenge Test would be replaced by an exam that gives teachers more detailed and timely information.
